Pastoral concerns
Preparing for Anglican Use Mass:
The Bishop with some minor changes has approved the Missalette. Fr. Eric to work with C. David Burt (Editor) to get Missalette into the accepted version. Jerry McGreevy to work on getting estimates for printing.
Altar Boys – Kyle Hull (Bob Hull’s son) has offered to train the Altar Boys.
A Thank You card has been received from Joe and Lori Edsall.
Confirmation Date: Fr. Eric continues to work with Fr. Connor and Bishop Dougherty to set a date for Confirmation. No date has been set yet. A reception is being planned following the Confirmation
Evangelism: If you know anyone that shows an interest in being confirmed next Easter, have them contact Fr. Eric. Catechism class will begin in October.
Bill and Charlotte Harris convalidation to scheduled for Monday, August 23rd. Mike and Linda Parry will be on Sept 12th.
Society concerns:
Gospel of Life classes - Since we do not know our Confirmation date, Fr. Eric has decided to begin the course (6 weeks) sooner than later. A reminder, this bible study is for everyone, but is required training for those that want to participate in the Pastoral Care Committee.
Bishop Martino has decided that STMS will have oral exams as part of the Confirmation process. As soon as the dates are set, everyone will be notified
Bishop Martino has assigned Fr. Connor to be mentor for Fr. Eric during his ordination process.
All at the First Annual STMS Picnic held on August 13th had a great time. Social events continue to allow time for fellowship and a bonding of STMS. A picnic will be planned for 2006.
Meeting closed in prayer at 4:25PM
Respectfully submitted
Jerry McGreevy
