Trustees Meeting

Meeting began with Prayer at 3:15 PM

Minutes of meeting held on September 18, 2005, were approved.

Financial report through September 30th was accepted:

Draft of 2006 Budget was reviewed. New items added to budget; Car allowance

$ 1,200; Entertainment $ 1,200; Rent $ 2,600.  Jerry to talk to Bishop regarding any assessment for Diocese and payment for Clergy – Anglican Use Mass.  When the budget is distributed, a narrative is to be included.

Oct 31st will be Stewardship Sunday, with Fr. Eric preaching on Tithing.  Budget meeting will follow the service, two members will be asked to share their concept of pledging / tithing. (Subsequently, Don Sanderson and Bill Harris agreed to speak about pledging).

Fr. Eric was authorized to purchase a Lectern Bible ($ not known), Gospel Book ($80) and a Missal Stand ($315). These items will be charged to memorials. Ask members to contribute to Memorial Fund to cover cost.

Fr. Eric was authorized to purchase software to print lessons and psalms $  99.

Pastoral concerns

             

Preparing for Anglican Use Mass:

Bishop to issue each priest a license to celebrate the Anglican Use Mass, said license to expire on December 31, 2006 and they are:

Msgr. Feldcamp, Msgr. Grimalia, Msgr. Rupert, Fr. Connor, Fr. Rafferty, Fr. Scott, Fr. Marchetti (subsequently, Fr. Marchetti was not included in the list because he was away and the Bishop could not confirm personally his agreement to participate)

Each Priest will be given a copy of the Missal for the Mass ( 220 pages).  Fr. Eric will meet with these Priests to practice the Mass liturgy.

Missal for Altar – Volume I - 970 pages.  Need to print the book, only the portion that is being used for the Mass will be placed on the Altar, the remaining pages will be stored  and inserted in the Altar Missal as needed.  Estimated cost $ 550

Altar Boys – continues with Kyle Hull training the boys

The first Anglican Use Mass at St. Clare’s will be held on Sunday, November 13th, at 5:00 PM

Christmas Mass and New Year’s Mass

Christmas Mass on Saturday, December 24, 2005 at 7:30 PM;

New Year’s Mass on Sunday, January 1, 2006 at 5:00 PM with a celebration dinner to follow the service.  Fr. Eric has asked for volunteers to coordinate the dinner.

Confirmation and what follows:

Oct 31st our confirmation is set for 7:00 PM with a group photograph with the Bishop to follow the service.  Rehearsal for confirmation will be on Wednesday, Oct 26th at 6:30 PM.

Advertising:  We will advertise the Anglican Use Mass on FREE / PUBLIC sites and also place ad in the local paper – under personal – because it is cheaper than the regular advertising page; also in the Catholic Light.  Joanne Shuemaker to follow up on any and all FREE advertising media.

New Confirmation class -  Linda Sepkowski and Fr. Eric will do the instructing,  a date certain cannot be determined at this time. Waiting until a group can begin at the same time.

Society concerns:

Gospel of Life classes – began on Oct 4th and are well attended.

Fr. Eric prepared a paper documenting the “History of STMS”. Judy and Don Sanderson are to review / edit the same.  Jerry McGreevy is keeping a Permanent File on all STMS activities.

Dossier – Fr. Eric has completed his dossier, the only item needed to complete it, is his profession of faith, that will be signed right after his confirmation.  Fr. Eric will FOLLOW UP with Bishop Martino “weekly” until it has been confirmed that Bishop Martino has prepared his authorization letter and the booklets forwarded to Fr. William Stetson in Washington and that it has been sent to the Vatican.

Ed and Bernice Facciani called during our meeting to announce the birth of their second grandchild – Evan Michael Chilek that afternoon (Oct 16th) Evan is 8’ 6” and 20 ½ inches. Mom, Dad, Evan and sister Shalyn are doing FINE.
