Trustees Meeting

September 18, 2005

Present: Eric L. Bergman, Ed Facciani, Jerry McGreevy, Don Sanderson and David Kimble.

Absent:  Paul Coviello, Bill Harris, and Jim Reese

Guest:    Bernice Facciani and Judy Sanderson

Meeting began with Prayer at 3:30 PM

Minutes of meeting held on August 21, 2005, were approved.

Financial report through August 31st was accepted:

Katrina Relief and the Bishop’s Annual Appeal – it was resolved that an email would be sent to all STMS member advising them of both worthy causes. STMS members were asked to make a special donation to STMS in the coming week and to designate the donation for their specific charity.  All members that do not have emails received a copy of the same via regular mail.  After a period of time, STMS would issue a check to the Diocese for each charity and give the check to Msgr Feldcamp to forward as part of St Clare’s contribution.

Jerry provided the bids for the missalette.  It was agreed that PDQ had the lowest bid for the “Perfect Bound” just like the Boston missalette.  We ordered 400 missalettes at $ 4.79 each for a total of $ 1,916.00.

Offering envelopes need to be ordered for 2006.  It was agreed that we would order 60 packets, as before for $ 54.16.

Pastoral concerns

Preparing for Anglican Use Mass:

The Bishop has licensed six Priests from the Diocese that are authorized to do an Anglican Use Mass.  Fr. Connor is to give Fr. Eric the names so that they can be contacted and schedule instructions for the Mass.

Altar Boys – Friday, October 14th is set for Altar Boys Training.

The first Anglican Use Mass at St. Clare’s will be held on Sunday, November 13th, at 5:00 PM

Confirmation will be held on Monday, October 31st at St. Clare’s at 7:00 PM, with Bishop Martino as the Celebrant. The women of St. Clare will prepare light refreshments for after the Confirmation.

The next Catechism Class will begin on Sunday, Nov 20th at 3:00 PM and will be led by Linda Sepkowski and Eric Bergman.

The last of the Convalidations prior to our Confirmation will be Jeff and Kelly Roughgarden, at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 8th.

Society concerns:

Gospel of Life classes – Class to start on Tuesday, October 4th from 7:30 to 9:00 PM through Tuesday, November 15th.  We will advertise in the Diocesan  - Catholic Light and St. Clare’s weekly leaflet. A reminder, this bible study is for everyone, but is required training for those that want to participate in the Pastoral Care Committee.

Almost all of the confirmands have been through the interviews, with the exception of 2 people.

Fr. Eric will look for a substitute organist to fill in when Judy Sanderson is traveling.  The substitute organists will be paid $ 100.00.

Joe and Lori Edsall had a baby girl on Tuesday evening 6:57 PM..  Taylor Lynn Edsall, 18 2/3 inches long and 6.2 pounds
